My Favorite Badass Women on the Internet

November 3, 2017

Social media bad-ass babe favorites

Have you realized lately how badass, amazing, strong, and beautiful women are? My body positive, body love, goddess empowerment journey is just beginning, but I wouldn’t even be where I am today without the inspiration of some INCREDIBLE women that I’ve come across on the internet. If you want to conquer the world, here are some of my fav badass lady inspirations!

For when I’ve momentarily lost my spark.. Janne Robinson.

I didn’t stumble upon this queen on my own. My best friend actually sent me a link to her Instagram, as she was in complete awe of everything Janne stood for. Her content is real and raw, her passion for life and what she does – immeasurable. Comfortable in her skin, opinionated, and outspoken, Janne is doing so much for our badass female community. She’s a feminist beat poet, entrepreneur, and just a girl that has gone out on a limb to live her passions of travel and adventure. Oh and btw, she has merch that says “THIS IS FOR THE WOMEN WHO DON’T GIVE A FUCK” (taken right out of one of her poems). What more could I ask for in life?

For when I feel shit about my body… Megan from Bodyposipanda.

I could fangirl about Megan for ages. No, seriously – I could sit here and write pages upon pages of why I’m so grateful to have stumbled across this incredible woman, and how she has changed my life.

Megan is a body positive activist wonder woman. In the past she has struggled with anorexia (and kicked anorexia’s butt), and has taken on the incredible career of teaching women (and men alike) to start loving their bodies at any size. It was through her that I got properly introduced to the body positive movement, and she has singlehandedly helped me break up with the diet industry forever. I’ve since jumped right into all of the body positive literature, blogs, and podcasts, but it all really started right here. Megan, thank you for allowing me to finally feel like I’m enough. I’m more than enough, I’m fantastic – we all are!

P.S. She has a book out, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet, as it’s only available in the UK. You can find it HERE (and maybe send me a copy ayyyy) 🙂

For when I’m in desperate need of style and confidence… Gracie Francesca.

Again, I could sit here and write a ten page essay on why this woman is an absolute queen, and I would still go over the word limit. I just recently discovered Gracie, and I have to say, her instagram and blog are my two favorite places to head to for style inspo. She has a sense of style that I could only dream of, and I obsess over just about any outfit she puts together. Ever since I started my body positive journey, I’ve realized that all these years I’ve been putting off fashion for “one day when I’m skinny”. Now that I have firmly pulled my roots out from that rotten soil, I’m (really slowly) starting to find my personal style.

Gracie is a badass, feminist queen that you absolutely HAVE to follow. She inspires me and so many other women to embrace the goddess-like qualities we all already possess. Thanks for being such a babe, Gracie.

Stay as strong, powerful, and beautiful as you are!

What a great post to read, it’s so refreshing to see other bloggers being positive and saying such nice things.
In the blogging community it can get so heated sometimes, and it’s so important to stay connected with others!

Aww thanks Alys! I agree – the blogging community can be such a downer sometimes. I’m just so in awe of everything these ladies stand for, and I of course, plan on sharing more stuff like this in the future!!

Big love for this post!! I don’t follow any of these amazing women at the moment and I need to change that! I love Megan from bodiposipanda’s message about breaking up with the diet industry, it’s so important! Also isn’t her hair just the coolest?!
